The Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology (TCAT) needed a completely new identity system for their e-sports brand, one that could hold its own in a competitive gaming culture without abandoning the credibility of an established educational institution.

The central challenge was bridging two worlds: the high-energy, visually aggressive aesthetic of esports with the trust and professionalism that a college system demands.

The Approach

The design process focused on building a cohesive identity system from the ground up, developing a primary logo, secondary logo, icon/emblem, and mascot character that could each function independently while remaining unmistakably unified.

Every decision was guided by the question of whether the mark would feel at home on a tournament stage, a campus banner, or a recruiting flyer.

The Result

The result is a complete, scalable identity that gives TCAT e-sports a distinct presence, one that can grow with the program and compete visually with established collegiate e-sports brands.
